Right now, VAIO has advanced properties as:Ĩ02.11n Channel Width for band 2.4 20 MHz Only No virus since it's a scratch.Īnother laptop I talked above which has Intel 3945ABG can connect with the settings. I can reach the modem by typing its IP with my LAN.Īll the 7 firewalls are closed. Imho, this is the hardest question of among all my questions.Ī clue: With the intel driver from its site, I have created a profile, and it gets with WPA for about 5 mins then gone, note that I also reset the modem for 10 seconds, also cold boot the modem and 7 too for each steps. It was working in the preinstalled Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I haven't tried with other wifi but I need my 7 to be working with this router, so even it's working with other wifi, it is not the case.Īll the steps in this question are also applied with no password authentication and WEP and 802.1x authentaications too. Note that the wireless connection is working perfectly with my other laptop and even in the same laptop with Ubuntu. I created wireless profiles according with my router settings in my machine but still I cannot have the wireless. I changed some other settings there too but no joy and everytime I uninstall and install the driver, it gets its original settings. I changed Roaming Aggresiveness as highest and again no joy with above combinations. Then, I tried out to configure the adapter settings from advanced tab by clicking configure on the adapter. Then I tried out hdwwiz.exe and manually adding driver with the above combinations and still no joy.

I found out all drivers from detail and delete them but no joy. I say, hmm, although I uninstall the drivers from device manager, let's delete those drivers manually. I say ok, let's try out Intel's original driver that it detects in its site, same thing occurs. I say ok, let's try out VAIO Vista driver, same thing occurs. I say ok, let's try out for VAIO original 7 driver and no joy again, everytime it fails and I got windows was unable to connect to error. Then I failed to connect my wireless network. The issue starts while I was installing 7, 7 says ok, let's connect net, I input my credentials which is 8 character with WPA (not WPA 2 since router has no support for this) I have a problem with reputated VAIO and Windows 7. Before reading the question, keep that in mind that the wireless driver in the device manager has no x or ? signs and 7 says ok, I recognize your driver perfectly without an issue, so put it simply, my problem looks like some halloween issue.
